Teaching Year 32... Done!
And ends with on some high notes!
Year 32 is on done (aside from some cleanup operations and the scavenger hunt)! Despite a disappointing teacher appreciation week, yesterday and today I had some beautifully-written appreciation notes from students on the last days of school. One of them had a gift card, but the best gift is their words. None of them thanked me raising their test scores: "You have helped me more than most teachers I have ever had." "Your style of teaching has always encouraged me and it has changed my perspective on reading, writing, and learning in general... Please know that what an awesome teacher you are and always remember there is someone's life you have changed. Thank you." "Before this year, I was too scared to write MY wayu. You helped me to get out of my shell and be intelligently disobedient... You've taught me a lot more too, but it would be a 2,000 word essay... I'm going to keep everything you taught me, and I'm going to use it."
Notes to end the year on a positive note!
